FALLEN ANGELS
ORIGINS...
The Fallen Angels first fell on the streets of Manchester (UK) 21/12/12 to mark what was believed to be the end of the world.
Since then, Fallen Angels have descended onto the streets of our towns and cities to coincide with astronomical events including passing comets, meteorites, and Super Moons.
They serve as a tiny reminder that we are all part of something much bigger, and act as tiny beacons of hope in our chaotic world.
In many cultures, it is believed the angels will fall from the heavens during the end times.
Their descent has begun...

The Fallen Angels have been brought to life in a 90-second Stop-Frame AnimatioN
This short film was made during lockdown 2020 and is a collaboration between Filmmaker REBECCA MELVIN PHILLIPS and Composer SAMUEL HOLLYWOOD-SUMMERS.
The Fallen Angels animation PREMIERED AT the 7th english riviera film festival 2021 & HAS RECENTLY BEEN SELECTED FOR THE CINE SISTER SW FILM FESTIVAL 2023

Details: Fallen Angels descended on the streets of HUDDERSFIELD with WINGS ADORNED WITH HAND-DRAWN SKULLS TO ECHO THE SKULL-LIKE SHAPE OF THE ASTEROID. THIS DESCENT MARKED THE NEAR EARTH FLYBY OF ASTEROID 2015 TB145. THE ASTEROID IS NICKNAMED THE HALLOWEEN ASTEROID DUE TO ITS FIRST FLYBY OCCURING ON HALLOWEEN 2015.
